How To Las Vegas

How To Las Vegas

FOOD

PublicUs

PublicUs

You'll find a great variety downtown. My favorites are Carson Kitchen, Park on Fremont, Le Thai, PublicUs, Chow, VegeNation and Therapy.

If you're looking for something more casual and less expensive, you can't forget about Fashion Show Mall. I recommend Ra Sushi and El Segundo Sol.

The Linq has quite a bit to offer as well. I like Chayo and Yard House, as well as Sprinkles Cupcakes and Ghirardelli Ice Cream and Chocolate Shop for dessert.

For a nice dinner, you can't go wrong at The Cosmopolitan. I especially love Scarpetta, Jaleo and STK. Need a late night slice of pizza? Look for Secret Pizza. It's unmarked, so just ask someone where it is. Also be sure to stop by the Chandelier Bar and ask for the "flower" drink. My other favorites include Nobu at Caesar's Palace, Mon Ami Gabi at the Paris, and Yellowtail and Prime at the Bellagio. I haven't eaten at Giada's at The Cromwell but I always wanted to.

SHOWS

Beatles LOVE

Beatles LOVE

I  saw Beatles LOVE at the Mirage at least three times. It is by far my favorite show and I'd recommend it to anyone. I also absolutely loved Zarkana at Aria! I hear that Absinthe at Caesar's Palace is great, however is not without nudity so consider who you'd be attending with to avoid any unnecessary awkward experience. I also hear that O is overrated. Britney Spears is incredible (no, really), and if you get the chance to see Celine Dion, Rod Stewart or Elton John and don't take it you're wrong.

CLUBS

XS at The Wynn

XS at The Wynn

This is not my scene. However, I have been to XS at The Wynn, Marquee at The Cosmopolitan, and Hakkasan at MGM Grand, and I always hear the best things about those. I'd also recommend the day clubs at each of those: Encore Beach Club at The Wynn, Marquee Day Club at The Cosmopolitan, and Wet Republic at MGM Grand. Do not show up sober under any circumstances, get a table whenever possible, and for help getting in, Instagram a cute photo of you and your girls (may or may not work for guys) with #Vegas, and you'll likely hear from a promoter in minutes.

MISC.

The Conservatory at The Bellagio

The Conservatory at The Bellagio

  • Take advantage of the free stuff, like the fountains outside at The Bellagio as well as the Conservatory inside, plus the volcano show at the Mirage, everything inside and out at Caesar's Palace and The Venetian, etc.

  • You're going to walk a lot and things are further away than they seem. If you wear uncomfortable shoes you will hate yourself.

Brooklyn Bowl at the Linq

Brooklyn Bowl at the Linq

  • If you can watch a concert at the Brooklyn Bowl at the Linq, the Boulevard Pool at the Cosmopolitan, and/or the Mandalay Beach, do it.

Downtown Las Vegas

Downtown Las Vegas

  • Downtown is really cool. Check out the restaurants, bars and Container Park down there.

  • Drink lots of water. You will dehydrate.

On the High Roller Wheel at the Linq

On the High Roller Wheel at the Linq

  • Ride the High Roller Wheel. You get a great view of the city.

  • Fashion Show Mall is the best place to shop. <3 Top Shop <3

  • This might be a personal thing, but feel free to drink anything except beer by the pool or you'll be welcomed into headache city by the mayor when you're trying to rally for dinner. I suggest opting for mojitos instead.

  • Lotion. Lots of lotion. You're in the desert. It's dry. Your skin will notice immediately.

Red Rock Canyon

Red Rock Canyon

  • Red Rock Canyon is about a 25 minute drive from the strip, but if you enjoy hiking or nature, it is absolutely worth the trip.

Gold Strike Canyon

Gold Strike Canyon

  • If you want to do more hiking, try Gold Strike Canyon towards the Hoover Dam. That's something you should see too.

View from the Fountain Room at Mandalay Bay

  • Have fun and take lots of photos! Las Vegas is truly an incredible city.
